JOHN’S EYE FOR A DEAL

JOHN Henderson, in his 12th year of retirement from the family-run Mermaid Beach property agency that carries his name, hasn’t lost the art of doing a deal.

John, 75, apparently has signed up a buyer for a highway-front Mermaid site he and his family have owned for 11 years.

The site, on the corner of Venice St and home to a single-level commercial building, reportedly has fetched $1.6 million.
