GOLD COAST WRAP WITH LADBROKES’ TOM HACKETT

-

WINNERS

Supersonic Boom (Race 1)

A very easy watch for punters that backed the favourite in the opening race of the afternoon. Ryan Plumb took him straight to the front and he didn’t get the softest run, but was still able to put away his rivals when asked for an extra effort. Another winner for Spirit Of Boom.

Lady No More (Race 7)

On a day where the majority of the winners were settled right on the speed, Lady No More stormed home from the tail of the field. Shannon Doyle timed his run to perfection on Lady No More and her finals sectionals were very impressive. LOSERS

Hakawa (Race 3)

Hakawa ($5 into $3.30) was slow out of the gates and was never able to get into the race. She was entitled to show more when she was asked for an effort in the concluding stages but made up no ground whatsoever to finish seventh, beaten 3.2 lengths, behind The Wardsman.

Patronizing (Race 6)

Luke Tarrant had Patronizing in a lovely position in the early stages of the race but he got shuffled back at the top of the straight. He still had his chance in the concluding stages and looked to knock up badly in the final 1000m. NEXT TIME

Go Dixie (Race 2)

Go Dixie took a long time to respond to the early urgings of Shannon Doyle and he did a stack of work to find the lead. He was still able to show a kick at the top of the straight but the tough run took its toll late and he was run down by She’s Reliable.

The Socialist (Race 5)

The fifth race of the afternoon was a messy affair and that cost The Socialist victory. He lost his momentum at the top of the straight and he didn’t find clear running until the 100m mark when he stormed through a gap to just miss. He will be tough to beat with even luck at his next start. BIG BETS Race 1 Supersonic Boom ................. Won $10,000 @ $2.05

?? ?? Supersonic Boom lands a bet of $10,000 in his smart win at the Gold Coast.
