COAST MASTERCLASS PAVES WAY FOR DIGITAL DRIVE

-

GOLD Coast businesses got the inside running on how and when to reach their customers with an exclusive digital marketing masterclass yesterday.

International guest speaker Stu Atkins shared the secrets and trends of consumer consumption at the sold-out event at the Sofitel as part of Gold Coast Business Week.

Business owners at the masterclass, powered by Gold Coast Bulletin publisher News Corp Australia, heard the best place to start was on the platform used by the majority of their customers.

Mr Atkins gave insights into coming trends in digital marketing and said proper targeting of the message was as important as the message itself, particularly when limited marketing resources are available.

He said business owners also need to weigh up whether it is an efficient use of their time to spend hours on digital marketing or leave it to the experts.

The digital masterclass marked the halfway point of Gold Coast Business Week.

It is being held in conjunction with the Brisbane’s Myriad Festival, which saw seven global entrepreneurs helicoptered into Bond University ahead of a suite of start-up and business advisory sessions.

Spaces are still available in today’s sessions including the Go Digital, Go Global marketing session at Southport Golf Club from 8.30am and a session on contracting opportunities with City of Gold Coast between 3pm and 4pm.
