Cougar kills bike rider

ONE man was killed and another injured after they were attacked by a cougar while riding in Washington state.

The cyclists were on a remote trail on Saturday when they encountered the animal.

The first rider received deep scratches and the other was dragged away by the cougar.

The 31-year-old survivor rode 3km out of the area and called police, who drove up the trail, found the victim’s bike and came across the cougar standing by the victim’s body.
