Big three hold firm

THE Gold Coast Women’s League’s big three have strengthen­ed their grip on the competitio­n after continuing their perfect start to the season in Round 4.

Ladder-leading Broadbeach 1 yesterday proved too strong for Musgrave at Keith Hunt Park, winning 3-0 to make it four-straight.

On Saturday, fellow unbeaten side Coomera flexed their premiershi­p muscle with a 7-0 thumping of Broadbeach 2 at Viney Park.

Second-placed Southport 2 made light work of Palm Beach in Friday night’s encounter at Mallawa Sports Complex, prevailing 3-0.

With Kingscliff’s forfeit on Friday handing Southport 1 a 3-0 win, the Warriors have climbed into the top four.

Robina 2 picked up their second victory on Saturday, beating Nerang 4-0.
