JARRYD Douglas kicked half of Palm Beach Currumbin’s goals as the reigning QAFL premiers continued their unblemishe­d start to the 2018 season.

Palm Beach Currumbin beat Wilston Grange 18.16 (124) to 8.9 (57) at Bendigo Bank Oval on Saturday to go to the top of the ladder for the first time this season.

Douglas now has 25 goals for the season and his performanc­e on Saturday was only outdone by Western Magpies player Jakob De Winter who recorded 10 of his own against Surfers Paradise.

The Demons lost 18.7 (115) to 9.6 (60) on Saturday while Broadbeach beat Labrador 15.15 (105) to 7.10 (52).

Broadbeach will play their third top-of-the-table clash this season against a third different team this Saturday.

The Cats are scheduled to play Palm Beach Currumbin in what shapes to be one of the games of the QAFL season.
