Signs of life at the Suns

-

THE fight in the Suns has been admirable.

If nothing else is achieved by the AFL club, their reborn backbone this year under Stuart Dew has been the star.

Fans can cop losing – something Gold Coast supporters are sadly used to – yet a team that doesn’t “have a go” will never sit well.

Call it the “Jarryd Hayne effect” but Gold Coast now look like a side who put a higher price on grit than glitz.

Few expected much from the Suns this season given the loss of key personnel and tough away travel, yet it won’t be another bust season if they can finish with the same sort of competitiveness they have shown so far.
