THE RULES

• Boats must stay at least 100m from whales. Jet skis must stay 300m away.

• If three or more vessels are already within 300m, the next vessel on the scene must stay an additional 300m away.

• “Special interest’’ whales like Migaloo have extra protection. This means boats and prohibited vessels must not approach within 500m.
