HATCHLINGS COME OUT OF THEIR SHELL

- GREG STOLZ

DREAMWORLD is “shellebrating” the introduction of some new members of its wildlife family just in time for World Turtle Day today.

The five Brisbane River Turtle hatchlings were born at Dreamworld earlier this year and have been thriving in their new home.

The theme park’s wildlife precinct is now home to 21 turtles.

Dreamworld has more than 500 animals, and supports threatened and endangered species through the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation, which provides support, practical assistance and funding for wildlife conservation globally.

World Turtle Day was started in 2000 and helps draw attention to all species of turtles, encouraging people to do their bit to help turtles survive in the wild.
