Open berth spurs Scott
GOLD Coaster Adam Scott claims fierce competition for US Open spots is motivating him to make a giant leap up the world rankings at the US PGA Tour’s Fort Worth Invitational in Texas this weekend.
Scott missed out on securing his ticket to the year’s second major by one shot at last week’s Byron Nelson championship.
He shared ninth and rose to world No.61, with only the top 60 qualifying for the US Open at Shinnecock Hills. The rankings deadline is June 11.
