Remarkable new vessels unveiled at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show
IT’S the boat that could allow owners to fish from bed if they wanted.
And the design is proving so popular the Gold Coast company that is making it received six orders for the model before its world premiere yesterday.
The new Maritimo X60 was unveiled for the first time at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and has been billed as a “totally new era” in sport yacht design because it includes an aft cabin at water-level, a feature usually seen in 100foot long superyachts.
Maritimo lead designer Tom Barry-Cotter said the cabin at the rear of the boat was set to generate interest around the world because it could be a party area, bedroom or a garage for a tender boat, among other uses.
“(It’s) completely unique and is resonating with buyers” Mr Barry-Cotter said.
