Extradition ordered

THE son of a man charged over the abduction of a Gold Coast schoolboy will be extradited to Queensland after appearing before a Sydney court.

Yesterday in Sydney’s Central Local Court, Gold Coast detectives were granted an extradition order after Yu ‘Sunny’ Zhang, 20, handed himself in to police in Sydney on Tuesday.

Magistrate Robert Williams ordered Yu Zhang, who appeared by audiovisual link, be taken to the Southport Police station where he will face a local court on the first available sitting date.
