Mistress, wife and blue card
A BUNDALL accountant is in hot water after he tried to use his wife’s identification details to get his mistress a Blue Card to work with children.
Kevin Manfred Couzins, 46, was found out before he could get the Blue Card for mistress Alison Grant but he will now have to complete 180 hours of community service in the next 12 months.
Couzins’ wife still supported him in the Southport Magistrates Court yesterday despite the allegations.
He pleaded guilty to one count each of attempted fraud and obtaining identification information.
Defence lawyer, Brooke Winter, of Brooke Winter Solicitors, said Couzins was enamoured by Grant.
“He was requested to give this information by a person he was seeking affection from outside of his marriage,” he said.
Mr Winter said Couzins was co-operative with police throughout the investigation.
