Cyclones dominate

GOLD Coast players have dominated selection for the South Queensland representative team despite missing out on silverware last weekend.

The Cyclones defeated the Sunshine Coast at Dalby but then fell to hosts and eventual South Queensland champions Darling Downs.

Nonetheless, 10 Cyclones players have won a spot in the SQ squad to contest the Queensland Country Championships next weekend.

By comparison, Darling Downs had nine players and Sunshine Coast had four.

The side, to be coached by Stuart Beakey, will travel to Townsville to face North Queensland next Friday night. They will then back up against Central Queensland the following day.
