Robbery doesn’t sit well with patron

A MAN who attempted an armed robbery of a Logan pub was scared off and left emptyhanded after a patron threatened him with a chair.

The offender, wearing a bandana covering his face, entered the Beenleigh hotel after 2am yesterday and threatened a female staff member with a firearm while demanding cash. A 42-year-old patron used a chair to threaten the armed man who then fled.

Police are searching for a man in his 30s, who wore a black, hooded jumper and grey trackpants.
