TODAY: Combinatio­n of smaller-scale E and SSE swells around 2ft+ exposed northern NSW beaches, grading to 1 to 2ft southern Queensland’s exposed breaks and smaller inside the points and bays. WIND: Early light WSW to SSW 5 to 10 knots tending light SE to NE later.

TOMORROW: Slight E and SE swells up to 2ft exposed breaks, grading to 1 to 2ft open beaches and near-flat inside the points and bays. WIND: Early light WNW tending W and freshening to 15 to 20 knots during the arvo.

RECAP: A new round of long-period S groundswel­l maintain solid surf across northern NSW coasts; mostly ranging anywhere from 3 to 6ft, while wrapping at much smaller 1 to 3ft levels across exposed Queensland beaches and grading to tiny levels inside the points and bays.
