James drags Cavs over line

LEBRON James has carried his inexperienced and injury-hit Cavaliers to victory over Aron Baynes’ Boston to claim the NBA Eastern Conference.

James’s heroics have become common but this season’s playoff run – capped by eliminating the Celtics with a 87-79 game seven win in a hostile Boston arena yesterday – may be his greatest achievement.

The 33-year-old played all 48 minutes of the game and had 35 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists. The Cavs will face the Warriors or Rockets.
