Threatened in car park

-

A MAN who allegedly threatened a couple with a knife in a Biggera Waters shopping centre car park has been denied bail.

Troy Love is also alleged to have stolen his brother’s car by failing to return it after getting permission to borrow the vehicle.

It is alleged Love pulled the knife on the couple and demanded property just before midnight on May 17.

Defence lawyer Danielle Hurda, of Bamberry Lawyers, said Love would be contesting the charges.

Magistrate Gary Finger denied Love bail due to his history of failing to appear in court.

Love was yesterday sentenced to two months jail, suspended for 18 months, after pleading guilty to failing to appear in court three times.
