A BIGGERA Waters man is facing more than 50 charges after he was allegedly caught filming three women getting changed at Harbour Town Shopping Centre on Sunday.

The man, who tried to flee from a Gold Coast Bulletin photographer as he emerged from the Southport watchhouse, now stands accused of offences at Biggera Waters and Arundel, dating back to April.

Originally charged with three offences, he now faces 54 counts of making recordings in breach of privacy and one count of possessing property suspected of being tainted.

He used his phone to film the women as they used change rooms, and was detained by security staff after he was caught on Sunday afternoon, it was alleged.

After being released from the watchhouse, he attempted to escape waiting media, shouting “Stop it, stop it” as his picture was taken.

Police are still working to identify victims and urge anyone who may have witnessed the alleged incidents to come forward to help with their enquiries.

Women who may have noticed anything suspicious, as they used changing rooms at Harbour Town and other shopping centres in the area, are also urged to contact police.

The man is scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
