Strong Gaz powers on

-

CHAMPION Geelong midfielder Gary Ablett isn’t planning on taking a rest as he eyes the Cats’ finals assault.

The 34-year-old, who will play his 200th game in blue and white hoops on Saturday against North Melbourne, has suffered two hamstring injuries already this season.

But with his body feeling “strong” and on the back of a season-best game against his former club the Suns last weekend, Ablett said there were no plans for him to be managed again this year.

“The plan is to finish off the season, to play every game,” Ablett said.

“But that’s something, you know, the physios and doctors are constantly talking about. We obviously play a contact sport and injuries are a part of the game.”

Ablett wound back the clock with his performance against the Suns, finishing with 37 touches and three goals.
