Gray sizzles in Top End

-

EMERGING Gold Coast golfer Kyle Gray has shot 11-under par to win the Northern Territory Amateur Championship at Darwin Golf Club.

The 17-year-old shot scores of 65, 69, 74 and 69 over four rounds to continue the success of Carrara-based KDV Sport Golf Academy in 2018.

Fellow academy member Daniel Nisbet won the New Zealand Open earlier this year to claim the first prominent title of his career.

Gray trains under KDV Sport Director and 2016 PGA teaching professional of the year Richard Woodhouse who said the young player’s success was a reflection of the academy’s program.

“It’s a wonderful reward for Kyle’s relentless to always wanting to improve,” Woodhouse said.

“It’s a very deserving win for a dedicated and hard working up-and-coming golfer who is also an integral part of the KDV Sport high-performance program as well.
