Tigers can wait: Mbye

-

TIGERS fans will have to wait until 2019 to see their latest star signing in club colours.

Moses Mbye was released from his contract at Canterbury last week and signed a rich four-year deal with the Concord club.

The playmaker turned fullback was allowed to walk away from his deal to help ease some of the salary cap pressure the Belmore side is under due to back-ended deals set up by the previous administration.

Tigers coach Ivan Cleary said he was open to discussing an immediate release with the Bulldogs but Mbye is set to remain put for now.

Canterbury centre Will Hopoate revealed that Mbye has told his current teammates he has every intention of seeing out the remainder of the season.
