Mitchell’s chance to live dream

-

LATRELL Mitchell stepped foot on to the MCG for the first time in his life yesterday and, for a moment, closed his eyes.

“I’m going to go to battle here,’’ Mitchell said, with an excited grin.

Tonight, the baby-face Blue can becomes the man.

Standing on the very left edge of the MCG that he will protect and attack tonight, Mitchell began his own mental preparation prior to the Blues final training session.

“I’m going to get a feel for the ground and visualise myself in the game,’’ Mitchell said, pointing down field.

“I’ll do it here at training and I’ll just let it happen tonight and tomorrow too.

“I like to let it come to me. I could be in my bedroom or on my phone, daydreaming and visualising those moments.

“It might be a try, or making a good tackle.

“It’s thinking about all those good things you look forward to doing on the field.

“But the thing is, I’ve got to make it happen.’’
