Fight goes to Sydney
HAYLEY Paddon will go from a Cudgen sweet potato farm to the New South Wales Parliament in her fight to relocate the proposed $534 million Tweed Valley Hospital.
On Monday, Mrs Paddon led the ‘Relocate’ team as it drummed up community support to relocate the site from a sweet potato farm to billionaire developer Bob Ell’s Kings Forest Estate.
The team held an information day with live music and jumping castles at the Kings Estate site.
Mrs Paddon now wants to take the campaign all the way to the State Parliament in Sydney. “The next step is to go to Parliament,” she said.
“We are going to get a community group together and try and speak on the floor of Parliament.”
