Holling off to a flyer

-

WILL Holling has made a good first impression as part of Griffith University Colleges’ exchange program with English club the Doncaster Knights.

Holling, a back-rower or hooker, debuted for Colleges’ in their 38-7 win over fellow top four side Gold Coast Eagles on Saturday.

“He’s a typical tough Yorkshire boy,” said coach Graham Herlihy.

“He’s contracted by the Doncaster Knights so the idea is to come out and experience a tough Aussie comp.”

Holling will stay with the club, who are undefeated after 10 rounds, until the end of the season before Colleges look to send a player of their own – possibly standout No.8 Nixon Taramai – to Doncaster.

The Knights currently compete in the second-tier English Championship, one rung below the nation’s elite Premiership division.
