Drunk’s fall from grace

TWO drunk men were arrested after they made their way into a roof cavity of a licensed premises in Byron Bay.

About 1am on Saturday, the men allegedly walked around the roof looking to enter the venue.

While inside the roof cavity, one of the men crashed through the gyprock ceiling, landing on the floor of a hallway below.

Police say it is unclear if the second man had also fallen or if he had jumped through the hole caused by his partner in crime.

The men were arrested for malicious damage and trespassing in a licensed premises and were issued with a notice to appear in Byron Bay Local Court on July 5.
