NSW players have been given the simplest instruction on how to become inspired and motivated for Origin II: Follow Boyd.

Blues skipper Boyd Cordner is only 80 minutes from joining a truly elite list of captains who have led NSW to State of Origin glory.

And his Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson has backed him to join Steve Mortimer, Brad Fittler, Laurie Daley, Andrew Johns, Danny Buderus, Ben Elias and Wayne Pearce in leading NSW to a series win in Game Two on Sunday night.

“People will follow Boyd, they always have,” Robinson said.
