Crash ends manhunt

A CRIME spree that started with a violent carjacking in Perth and led to a police chase has ended after a head-on crash on the freeway.

Police said officers attempted to pull over a stolen Toyota Kluger in a carpark about 11.30am on Tuesday but the driver sped off, leading police on a 30-minute pursuit.

The chase was aborted when the car drove on the wrong side of Mitchell Freeway just before it collided with another vehicle. A man and three women were charged with multiple offences.
