Dregding in full swing

BROADWATER MP David Crisafulli has backed locals wanting the Labrador channel to be dredged, and says work which started yesterday is just the beginning.

He said dredging of the area by the Waterways Authority will take about a week and had been a long time coming.

“It hasn’t been dredged for half a decade, and boaties have been screaming for it – rightly so,” he said. “We’ll keep pushing for this to be an ongoing and frequent practice across the broader area.”
