WAYNE’S DRIVE STRONG AS EVER

SEEING champion golfer and bloke Wayne Grady, winner of the US PGA Championship in 1990, at the opening of Topgolf last week reminded us of two things. One was his very Aussie exclamation of ‘You bloody beauty!’ when he won the PGA. The other was when Wayne was playing socially and one of the golfers told him that he thought his one wood was defective. Taking the club Wayne then smoked a drive down the middle, handed it back to the hacker and said, “Fixed it.”
