SUMMARY
SSE swell continues to range from 3 to 5ft across northern NSW coasts, dropping to the 1 to 3ft range across southern QLD exposed beaches, with early light WSW to SW winds seeing the best conditions before they turn S to SE later. Swell direction trends SE and gradually eases tomorrow, opening up improving conditions as winds tend lighter WSW to SW.
TODAY
Mid period SSE swell around 3 to 5ft+ northern NSW south facing breaks, grading to 2 to 4ft open beaches depending on exposure. Sets to 1 to 3ft exposed southern QLD coasts and 1 to 2ft inside the points and bays. WIND: WSW to SW inshore 10 to 20 knots, tending S to SSE later.
TOMORROW
Mid period SE swell ranges from 3 to 4ft+ northern NSW south facing breaks, grading to 2 to 4ft open beaches depending on exposure. Sets to 2 to 3ft+ exposed southern QLD coasts and 1 to 2ft+ inside the points and bays. WIND: WSW to SW 5 to 15 knots, tending S during the day and SSE into the afternoon.
SATURDAY
SE swell 2 to 4ft exposed
northern NSW breaks early, easing to 2 to 3ft during the afternoon. Grading to 1 to 3ft across exposed QLD beaches and smaller inside the points and bays with size depending on exposure. WIND: WSW to SW 5 to 10 knots tending variable, then light S to SE during the afternoon.
SUNDAY
Leftover SE swell slowly fades. Slow sets to 1 to 3ft northern NSW southern exposures. Grading to about 2ft exposed southern QLD coasts and smaller elsewhere. WIND: Early WSW to SW 5 to 10 knots, tending light S, then SSE 10 to 15 knots during the afternoon.
MONDAY
Residual ESE swell reinforced by rising SSE windswell and a small underlying S groundswell. Around 2ft exposed northern NSW breaks, picking up to a junky 2 to 3ft during the afternoon. Grading to 1 to 2ft across southern QLD exposed beaches and tiny to near flat inside the points and bays. WIND: Early SW to SSW 10 to 20 knots, tending S to SSE 15 to 20 knots during the afternoon.
