Eager Jet set to buzz

THE Jet is ready for takeoff.

The NSW coaching staff have met to specifically discuss getting additional ball to centre James Roberts in Origin II on Sunday, as he said: “I want to do my thing.”

Roberts, 25, made a successful, if not showstopping, Origin debut at the MCG in Game One when he was unable to display his raw speed.

He ran the ball nine times for 60m and had one tackle bust in Melbourne.

“Just to get a bit of early ball and do my thing – the carries I do, the speed and the strength that I bring,” Roberts said.

“I do that best when I get early ball. That would be ideal.

“You only need a couple of good carries and I’ll be buzzing.”
