A-LIST BED DOWN IN DARLING

-

IT was the question on the lips of a galaxy of stars at The Star Gold Coast on the weekend — who made the A-list when it came to staying in the best rooms in town?

The Star’s new luxury suite hotel, The Darling, was THE place to stay but exactly who it hosted on Logies weekend was a closely guarded secret.

Those lucky enough to jag a room in the newly opened tower included Grammy-winning Logies performer Kelly

Rowland, Logies Hall of Famer Bert Newton and wife Patti, Logies nominee and awards show performer Julia Morris and Gold Logie nominee Tracey Grimshaw.

International guests Jess Glynne and fellow Brit Dan Caplen, rumoured to be an item, also stayed on high in the Darling.

Nine stars weren’t the only VIPs in the house for the weekend — insiders say Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk

and Tourism Minister

Kate Jones were also guests at The Darling.

Channel 10 talent, including Gold Logie winner Grant Denyer, were mostly housed across the road at the Sofitel Hotel and Oracle apartment towers in beachside Broadbeach.

Karl Stefanovic and fiance Jasmine Yarborough, due to fly out today, enjoyed an extended stay at Versace, at Main Beach, making it a Logies long weekend.

While Gold Coast favourite Liz Cantor made her Logies debut this year, she didn’t check into Team Channel 7’s official hotel at the Sheraton Mirage at Main Beach.

Cantor, who is 31 weeks pregnant with her second child, stayed down the road at Miami instead — at home!
