MORNING AFTER THE BIG NIGHT BEFORE

- SALLY COATES

THE day after TV’s night of nights is always a payday for paps preying on fragile, hungover celebs who partied just as hard as they should.

At the official Logies brunch, held this year at Nineteen at the Star, those in the know attended for mimosas, bloody marys and coffee while they debriefed on the night’s events.

As well, a handful of TV’s elite took to the stage to address a weary crowd.

Scotty Cam, host of The Block, which won Best Reality Program for the sixth year running, said he loved the Gold Coast because it was nice seeing the palm trees and lorikeets. “Where have you been?” someone yelled in jest.

Gold Logie nominee and Doctor Doctor star Rodger Corser took to the podium to chat about the coming third season of his hit show, mentioning he was supposed to have a copresenter, Ryan Johnson, but nobody could find him.

Next was Hamish Blake and Andy Lee who took to the stage to announce the second season of their Logie nominated show True Story.

They continued the party from the award ceremony the night before, during which a waiter had wished Lee a happy birthday, part of an ongoing radio prank.

Blake rewarded him with $10 but, not to be beaten, Lee said “I can do better than that” and handed the lad a $50. Nice.
