A 91-YEAR-OLD Adelaide man charged over the death of his wife when he reversed their car into her six months ago won’t have to face court, with police dropping the case.

Police will drop charges that Graham Kennewell killed his wife Freda by reversing up their driveway without due care. “I’m very happy that people got behind me, I certainly am, but I’m just glad it’s finished,” the retired builder and contractor said.

Defence counsel David Moen said it was good to see commonsense prevail.

“Graham resides in a closeknit community where the public was very supportive and quite taken aback when he was charged.
