Killer driver heads to jail

A 29-YEAR-OLD Melbourne woman has been jailed for 6½ years after she struck and killed a man as he was being sick on a freeway.

Tara Brennan, who was using ice at the time, previously pleaded guilty to culpable driving causing death and drug possession after driving into 31-year-old Alan Dunlop on the Western Ring Road in May 2016.

She was sentenced in the County Court of Victoria yesterday, and must serve at least 3½ years of the prison term before becoming eligible for parole.
