The official dinner for the Gold Coast Marathon celebrated the 40th anninversa­ry of the great race and featured former champions in attendance

GC MARATHON DIINNER GCCEC, Broadbeach

THERE were marathons run across two areas of endeavour over the weekend. One was the staying up and partying kind much loved by those hardy souls who attended the Logies. The other was the running long distances in as short a time as possible kind. Before the starter’s gun was fired, an official dinner was held at GCCEC.
