Motel sleep-in ends in charges
A MAN has been charged after allegedly breaking into a Byron Bay motel to sleep.
Police will allege the 24-year-old Brunswick Heads man punched out a glass window at a motel early on June 30, climbed into a room and fell asleep.
Later that morning police were called and found the man asleep in bed. He was charged with malicious damage and entering enclosed lands without lawful excuse.
He will appear at Byron Bay Local Court on July 19.
