P-plater to face court over crash

A YOUNG P-plater has been charged after a car accident at Tweed Heads last week.

Police were called to a crash on the M1 at Tweed Heads about 3.30pm on June 29. Officers spoke to an 18-yearold man from Bilinga. They found that his NSW P1 licence had been disqualified by the courts until 2020.

He had previously been convicted of driving in a manner dangerous to the public. The man was allowed bail and will appear before Tweed Heads Local Court on July 23.
