Petaia steps up for Reds

JORDAN Petaia hasn’t played regularly at outside centre since his school days but he will for Queensland against Melbourne in the Super Rugby clash in Brisbane tomorrow night.

The good news is that it was just 10 months ago when he was punching out strong running metres at No.13 for Brisbane State High.

The strapping Petaia, 18, has been the backline find of the year for the Reds and nine games on the wing have shown how decisive and physically able he is at this level.
