Tickford key to Davison

FORMER Supercars runner-up Will Davison believes he can return to the front of the grid once their supplier team Tickford Racing find their feet.

Tickford, who won the 2015 title with Mark Winterbottom, are enduring a difficult year with no wins or pole positions in the first seven events.

Davison’s new 23Red Racing team is a customer of Tickford, meaning they have felt the flow-on effect of the Ford outfit’s struggles.

He enters this weekend’s Townsville 400 placed 16th in the standings.
