SUNS FOSTERING IMPRESSIVE TALENT IN BRODIE

-

THE credentials of Surfers Paradise product Brodie Foster continue to rise.

The Gold Coast Suns Academy member has earned the Tribal Sport NEAFL Rising Star nomination for Round 13.

A member of the Suns’ under-19 academy squad, Foster produced another solid display on Saturday when he accumulated 22 disposals, six clearances and four rebound 50s in Gold Coast’s NEAFL win over Redland at Metricon Stadium.

The Surfers Paradise junior has been a member of the academy for five years, making his NEAFL debut in 2016 before starring at under-18 level.

A gifted ball user with sure hands and an accurate kick, Foster won the NAB Under-18 Academy Series MVP award for the Suns last year and was invited to attend the AFL’s Rookie Me Combine.

The 19-year-old midfielder has played every NEAFL match so far this season and has posted career-best numbers, averaging 19 disposals, three inside 50s, five tackles and three clearances a game.
