JUST like years gone by, it took a special Preston Campbell moment to light up another gloomy day for Gold Coast Titans fans.

Campbell was honoured yesterday with the Gold Coast club naming a stand at Cbus Super Stadium after their foundation signing.

That special gesture was meant to be followed by the Titans beating Brisbane twice in a season for the first time in their history.

It didn’t happen.

The Titans’ already slim chances of making the NRL finals all but evaporated with a 34-0 loss to the Broncos.
