Baristas all frothed up

A PAIR of Robina baristas have been recognised as some of the states best latte artists.

Andy Pham and Phil Nguyen from Soul Origin Robina have secured their place in the national finals at the chain’s National Barista and Latte Art Competition for 2018.

More than 150 baristas from across the country battled it out in their respective regional finals to secure a place in the national competition.

The pair crowned state champions will be flown to Sydney to compete in the finals next week, where they will be judged by a panel of experts including former World Barista Championships head judge Ross Quail, Brent Williams, president of the Australian specialty coffee association and World Accredited Latte Art judge and Australian 2018 Latte Art Champion, Shinsaku Fukayama.
