Tragic life for victim

THE mother allegedly murdered with two of her children had led a tragic life which included losing one baby to SIDS and two others who died after being born prematurely.

Another of Michelle Petersen’s children – 19-year-old Teancum Vernon PetersenCrofts – was remanded for a mental health assessment yesterday after facing court in Midland, WA, accused of killing her, his brother Rua, 8, and sister Bella, 15, at their Ellenbrook home on Sunday.

Devastated family yesterday said the 48-year-old had led a hard life but was a “strong, beautiful” woman who loved her children.

It is understood PetersenCrofts has previously received hospital treatment for mental health issues.

He was sent to WA’s maximum-security psychiatric unit yesterday following a bizarre outburst during his court hearing on the three murder charges.
