MAN ADMITTED TO ASSAULT
SENIOR staff at FSG allowed a man to continue to work with the organisation despite him admitting he had previously assaulted a non-verbal client at an FSG house.
A statement provided to the Bulletin by a former FSG employee outlines how Paul Nuzum came to be in the Nerang FSG house where he raped an intellectually disabled girl.
The letter outlined an instance in which Mr Nuzum admitted to a staff member he physically assaulted a non-verbal FSG client at a Pacific Pines FSG house to keep him in line.
The staff member told the author of the letter, who then contacted the house co-ordinator and had a meeting with a senior co-ordinator. The result was that Mr Nuzum was allowed to continue the same work for FSG, a position that he would use to commit the acts that would see him jailed.
