Nikolics in court date

ALLEGED Aussie drug smugglers John and Yvette Nikolic held hands and looked lovingly at each other as they faced court in Fiji yesterday.

The pair were later allowed time together in the Lautoka High Court library.

It is the first time the former horse trainer and his wife have seen each other since their yacht Shenanigans was raided and seized on June 22.

On that day, John, who was banned from Queensland and Victorian race tracks in 2015, was rushed to hospital after a reported drug overdose.

The court heard Yvette, 42, and John, 45, will have their cases consolidated.
