Robina men regroup as women play

-

ROBINA’S women’s side will fly the flag for the club tomorrow as the men’s teams enjoy a bye.

For Round 12 of QWFA Division 2 South, Robina will host Mt Gravatt, who sit one rung below the Roos in third on the ladder.

The Vultures should push the home side but the Roos will feel confident, having won their last encounter by 34 points on May 12.

The men will use the QFA Division 2 competition bye to reflect and regroup before a home game against Coolangatta Tweed for Round 15.

The seniors sit ninth on the ladder with just two wins for season, and coach Mark Vigus urged his side to stay competitive.

“It’s been a difficult year but if we stick together we can finish the year on a high and take away something from it,” Vigus said.

The reserves sit sixth and are in finals contention but the last four rounds will provide a tough run home.

The men will also use the break to prepare for the club’s major fundraiser, the Reverse Raffle, at the Roo Pen next Saturday, July 28.

The last ticket drawn will win $4000 cash. For details, visit robinaroos.com.au

The women play at Scottsdale Reserve at 3pm.
