TALENTED MARIE CHANNELS EDITH

IF you need the epitome of tres Francaise look no further than Marie Bensoussan. It has been a big week – Bastille Day, World Cup win and then on Thursday night she went with friends to attend Dragalicious at The Avenue in Surfers Paradise. As shows often do, audience members were asked to perform and Marie, never backwards about coming forwards, stepped up and sang La Vie en Rose. Marie’s version is as close as you can get to Edith Piaf’s famed song and it brought the house down. Considering it was her show stopper when she used to sing at the many restaurants she ran with her late husband Emile, it’s great to hear Marie has still got it.
