Bears pip Easts
BURLEIGH will head into the South East Queensland women’s rugby league division one finals riding a threemonth unbeaten run as they charge towards a fourth consecutive premiership.
The Bears edged past their nearest rivals Easts 18-16 at Langlands Park in Brisbane yesterday to clinch the minor premiership by a comfortable overall margin.
The win came despite some poor ball handling but shapes as ideal match practice for finals, which begin next weekend.
The Bears have not dropped a game since coming out of Round 6 in fourth place with a 3-3 win-loss record, with nine wins and a draw in that period.
